Strengthening Community-Police Relationships
Improving the safety for all Chicagoans is only possible if there is an amicable relationship between citizen and officer. People who care about helping their community should be encouraged and incentivized to become officers. My efforts will aim to create a collaborative environment where citizens feel comfortable working with the police to report crimes and prevent violence, making safety a shared responsibility.
Rewarding Excellence in Law Enforcement
Recognizing and rewarding police officers who demonstrate exceptional service and build positive relationships within the community is vital. We will establish a system of incentives and rewards for acts of bravery, community service, and innovative policing techniques. This initiative aims to motivate officers to strive for excellence, promote best practices in law enforcement, and strengthen community ties, contributing to a safer, more united Chicago.
